iVEC’s Education Program provides specialised computational instruction for WA researchers. The Program offers introductory training sessions and workshops on a range of topics throughout the year. In-house, tailored training can also be arranged for research and industry groups. iVEC’s Research Internships support top students from across WA’s universities to engage in research projects with supervisors from the iVEC Partners. These help develop skills that will enhance research outcomes throughout their careers.
The Education Program aims to inspire researchers to use computational techniques and to nurture the local eResearch community through training, internships and events.
Key activities of the Program are:
- Training - short courses and workshops, which run regularly throughout the year. Find descriptions of the courses, downloadable materials and the calendar on the the training page.
- Internships - research and industry internships are offered. Our summer research internships place students with researchers at the iVEC partners. Potential supervisors and interns can find more information on the internships page.
- Outreach - tours, visits and resources are available. We can arrange site visits and presentations at the iVEC Facilities, or provide presentations and resources for all educational levels.
