iVEC > eResearch Forum 2009

The annual iVEC eResearch Forum is a fantastic opportunity to see first hand the many ways that iVEC’s high performance computing, visualisation and storage infrastructure are used by practitioners from many different fields.
The Forum will be opened by the Hon. Barry House MLC and feature WA’s Young Scientist of the Year, Dr Ben Corry, Professor Steve Tingay, Professor Mervyn Lynch, Dr Ricardo Mancera and other experts in their fields. The event also highlights student projects in the iVEC Research Internships 2008-9. Topics in the Forum include Visualisation of Astronomy, Medical and Geological data, Molecular Dynamics, Bioinformatics, Sustainable Energy modelling, Radio Astronomy, Satellite Imagery and Data Management.

The eResearch Forum will be followed by an opportunity for discussions with Western Australia’s premier researchers in these fields at a poster session and informal sundowner.

Bookings are essential. Please contact Wendy D’Arrigo at rsvp@ivec.org or 6436 8830 with your name and contact details to make a booking.
