iVEC provides expertise and resources to industry and government to incorporate advanced computing technology as part of their operations.

The technologies include :

• High performance computing
• Visualisation technologies
• Large scale data storage
• Fast networks applications
• E-research

The services we offer include expert advice, proof of concept projects and collaboration opportunities with our partner organisations. We can visit your organisation for a few days to meet your staff and explore ways of improving their workflow through advanced computing.

We have an annual Grant Scheme that provides funding for large projects. Smaller projects using iVEC's expertise and resources can be started at any time. The industry and government program also sponsors internships over the summer period.

We will be hosting Dr John Hedley in March for a series of talks and workshops on "Computer Graphics and the natural environment".
