If you are a 3rd year or higher undergraduate student at an iVEC partner institution, here is your chance to participate in the iVEC Intern Program.

Internships will run for approximately 10 weeks during the period December through to February, although dates and exact length of the internship are negotiable. The award is for up to $6,000 per student, depending on the length of the project, and is fully funded by iVEC and its partners. Applicants must not have held an iVEC Internship in the past.

As a condition of the award, interns will be expected to:

  • attend a one week induction in late November/early December
  • write a project report
  • generate a podcast describing their work, and
  • give an oral presentation at the completion of the internship

Student applications will be assessed on the individual student's merit.

If you are interested in doing a specific project with a specific supervisor, you should approach that supervisor and ask them to submit a project description. Projects go through a separate application process. We will put approved projects onto our website two weeks before the deadline for student applications.

Students should nominate their preferred projects in their application. If no suitable project is available, we will find you an exciting project with our research or technical teams.

Go to the Application page to find the required form and more details on the conditions of the award.
