The ARCS Data Fabric is the country’s national data storage system. It enables groups and communities to easily store, maintain and share their data. The system is available to all Australian researchers and free within stated limits. Arrangements can be made for heavy users of the service. Researchers can access the ARCS Data Fabric in a number of different ways depending on individual workflows and preferences. If required, ARCS can assist with developing and deploying systems that upload data generated by a variety of instruments (i.e., a telescope, microscope, beam lines from particle accelerators, sea gliders).Users have full control over the access to their data stored in the ARCS Data Fabric.
